Great Rail Journeys will launch its Escorted Walking tours collection in spring 2026, a diversification of its usual rail-focused product.
Inaugural tours will visit Austria, Italy, Spain and Switzerland, with a £200pp discount when booked before October 31, 2025.
Led by expert local guides, travellers will have the choice between two walks graded depending on the terrain, distance and level of ascent and decent, ensuring everyone finds a pace that suits them. Group sizes will be no more than 24 people, and a dedicated tour manager will be on hand from start to finish.
The new tours include an eight-day ‘Catalonia’s Coast and Culture’ priced from £1,999pp, a 10-day ‘Lake Maggiore and Italian Valleys’ tour priced from £2,799pp; and a nine-day ‘Austrian Alps, Tyrol and Alpbach’ walking tour priced from £2,199pp.
