Fred. Holidays has released its European Touring and Rail brochure for 2026 and 2027, reporting that rail and touring have become the company’s primary travel style.

The launch follows a 10% year-on-year increase in bookings for this category, with specific growth seen in Switzerland (up 62%) and Italy (up 18%).

The 96-page brochure includes a range of rail journeys, independent touring and special interest itineraries. New additions to the programme include tours of Monet’s Gardens, the D-Day landing beaches of Normandy and a route across Scandinavia to the Baltics.

The collection also features expanded special interest tours focusing on Christmas markets, heritage and battlefield sites in World War I and World War II locations.

The brochure highlights several no-fly and independent options, including itineraries to the Netherlands, the French Riviera and the German Fairy Tale Route.

Standard offerings such as the Glacier Express, Bernina Express and Venice Simplon-Orient-Express are also included. Prices for the new programme start at £359pp, with a selection of tours available for under £1,000.
