Fort Lauderdale to receive new direct route from UK

Norse Atlantic Airways will commence a non-stop service between London Gatwick and Fort Lauderdale from May 26 2023.

“We’re absolutely thrilled with this news. We’ve missed having a direct flight from the UK into Fort Lauderdale, since BA and Norwegian discontinued the route in 2019, and holidaymakers from the UK have been reliant on reaching us via Miami or Orlando,” said Tracy Vaughan, Senior Vice President of Global Trade Development for Visit Lauderdale.

“Fort Lauderdale was ranked as the 11th busiest destination for international travellers to the US during January – September 2022, and we are enjoying a true renaissance right now with a raft of new hotels newly opened and coming soon, as well as an exciting array of cruise lines.

“It’s wonderful to have an affordable, non-stop, flight from London, and right in time for the summer holidays. We can’t wait to welcome even more UK travellers to the “Venice of America”.
