Fans of Premier League football team Brighton and Hove Albion will have Florida on their travel radars when the new season kicks off in August.
The club has signed a partnership with Experience Kissimmee, the travel authority of Osceola County, which is a new sleeve partner of Brighton’s men’s, women’s and academy shirts.
Other key highlights of the deal include in-stadium branded signage, cross-promotions with various trade partners and travel agents and visits to the popular sunshine State destination by current and former players.
A Brighton club statement said the collaboration “marks a significant milestone in sports tourism and entertainment, offering an inventory of benefits and promotional opportunities”. It added: “The partnership is a perfect fit due to the shared values of both organisations in promoting family friendly events, holiday destinations, a strong affinity for the USA, inclusivity and a global audience”
DT Minich, President and CEO of Experience Kissimmee, said the partnership “aligns perfectly” with the destination’s key international markets.
This [collaboration] is exciting as the UK is the number one long-haul market for international visitors for us… and BHAFC’s audience profile includes significant followings in both Canada and Brazil.”
Last year Brighton were the 12th most-watched team across all of Europe’s football leagues, with a total TV audience of around 195 million.
