Launched to coincide with National Travel Agent Day this week, the competition follows this year’s first Malta Academy Megafam where 30 travel agent partners from the UK and Ireland attended a three day on-island adventure, with a focus on gastronomy, adventure, history, and luxury.
Agents can either enter by joining the closed Facebook Group Visit Malta Trade or by making a booking to Malta with Mercury Holidays.
Speaking about the competition, Tolene van der Merwe, Malta Tourism Authority’s Director UK & Ireland said: “Travel agents are hugely important to us, and we love the concept of National Travel Agent Day UK as we get to celebrate agents, their incredible knowledge and how they really make a difference.
“At The Malta Tourism Authority we are incredibly grateful for their continued support in recommending Malta, Gozo and Comino to UK holidaymakers and we want to show them how much we value what they do and we look forward to rewarding some very special travel agents with a trip of their own soon.”
Malta Tourism Authority Trade Trainer Peter Green, added: “This year’s first ever Malta Academy Megafam was such a treat. Originally planned for 2020 and on hiatus for so long, being able to share the delights of Malta with so many brilliant agents that we have worked with so much over the course of the pandemic, was a highlight of the year for me. I cannot wait to make it bigger and better next year and am excited to welcome people back to our stunning archipelago soon.”
Agents can enter via MTA Trade Facebook Page or make a booking to Malta with Mercury holidays by August 19.
Two spaces will be allocated via Facebook and three spaces given to the top selling agencies via Mercury Holidays.
