Family attractions
Daytona Beach offers family-friendly attractions, including Daytona Lagoon water park, go-karting, mini golf and arcade entertainment. The newly developed Daytona Aquarium & Rainforest Adventure adds equal appeal indoors as well. The Halifax River serves as a protected manatee sanctuary.
Daytona International Speedway

Dubbed the “Birthplace of Speed”, NASCAR was founded in Daytona Beach. The Daytona International Speedway is one of the city’s defining attractions and you can take guided track tours or visit during events such as the Daytona 500.
Over 20 miles of Atlantic shoreline

Daytona Beach sits about an hour from Orlando on Florida’s east coast, with nearby access to the Kennedy Space Centre and Jacksonville. The beach allows driving on designated sections and supports a mix of swimming, cycling and watersports.
Ponce Inlet Lighthouse

Ponce Inlet is great for boat trips, dolphin spotting and nature-based excursions. Built in 1887, Ponce Inlet Lighthouse is worth the climb of 203 steps as the top provides panoramic views across the Atlantic coastline. Nearby, the Marine Science Centre rehabilitates sea turtles and stingrays.
Dining with local flavours

Seafood is a key feature, with several restaurants focusing on sustainably sourced produce such as oysters and scallops. Millie’s Restaurant offers a catch-and-cook experience; head to Aunt Catfish’s on the River for a classic southern buffet; or visit Caribbean Jack’s to watch manatees cruise by.
