Exodus to grow gardens interest at Hampton Palace

Adventure tour operator Exodus Adventure Travels will be present at this summer’s Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival to highlight its new ‘Gardens around the World’ collection of trips,

Exodus will be present its ‘Sounds of Adventure’ garden at Hampton Court Palace (July 2-7), which it says has been designed to reflect Exodus’ “ethos of responsible travel and conservation and will celebrate the sounds and sights of the destinations that travellers can explore on an Exodus adventure.”

In collaboration with garden designers We Love Plants, the garden will feature flora from across the globe.

The immersive garden experience will be enhanced throughout by speakers playing a playlist of raw recorded sounds from 12 destinations that include a dawn chorus in Vermont (USA) and the early morning atmosphere at the small harbour of Pepperskär Hamen (Finland).

The new collection spotlights trips that visit some of the world’s most spectacular horticultural destinations, including the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden in South Africa (pictured), the Wellington Botanical Gardens in New Zealand and Tsinandali Garden in Georgia.

Also featured are Sri Lanka and Japan.

The South Africa trip travels the route between Port Elizabeth and Cape Town, which ranks among the finest coastal routes in the world with its beaches, cliffs and gorges, forests and seaside towns.

The itinerary includes two nights and four game drives at Amakhala Safari Lodge, local wines and cuisine in Stellenbosch, nature walks among the region’s abundant flora and fauna and two nights at Blackheath Lodge in Sea Point, Cape Town.

The 12-night trip is priced from £ 4,499.
