easyJet Holidays introduces Rekindle the Romance packages

New Rekindle The Romance package deals, bookable from November 1 2024 to March 31 2025, have been introduced by easyJet Holidays in partnership with musicians Martin and Shirlie Kemp. The package includes couples spa treatments, a romantic dinner for two and a bottle of sparkling wine on arrival.

Pre-booking is required for the three-course set menu dinner for two. It is available once per room per stay. There’s also a tailor-made cocktail session for two, once per room per stay. A 30-minute spa experience is available, in the form of a head and shoulders massage, once per adult each stay.

The ATOL-protected holidays can be secured with a deposit of just £60 per person, including flights, hotel, 23kg luggage and transfers on beach holidays.

The package announcement coincides with the publication of a new survey, commissioned by easyJet Holidays. The results reveal that 81%of the 1,750 responding parents believe parenting duties affect their romantic spark. Just 20% go on date nights with their partner.

Over a quarter (27%) of the parents surveyed said the difficulty choosing the right destination puts a spanner in the works. It revealed the most popular destinations for a romantic getaway as Sorrento (Italy), Santorini (Greece), Nice (France), Madeira (Portugal) and Algarve (Portugal).

Almost all of the parents (91%) agreed that ‘couple time’ is essential for their relationship yet more than six in 10 (61%) feel guilty for wanting it. Nonetheless, parents are keen to reignite the romantic spark, with almost two-thirds (62%) planning to book a quality mini-break together.

According to the survey, almost half of couples (49%) admit they are the best versions of themselves on holidays with 48% taking the time to enjoy a nice meal out together, 40% holding hands more often and 28% taking more time to have in-depth conversations with their partner.

Martin Kemp was a member of the band Spandau Ballet and Shirlie sang with Wham. They have been together since they were in their twenties and have two children.

“We go on multiple trips a year to stay connected, so we’ve loved partnering with easyJet Holidays on this campaign and sharing how we’ve kept the passion alive for over 36 years,” said Shirlie Kemp.

Paul Bixby, Chief Commercial Officer at easyJet Holidays, commented: “Parents are multitaskers and tend to put the kids first which leaves little room for romance. We’re excited to offer parents the chance to reconnect and reinvigorate their relationships with our autumn getaways, so couples can truly unwind without the usual distractions of daily life.”
