Delta Air Lines celebrates new LA route

Delta’s non-stop Heathrow to Los Angeles service has returned after an eight-year hiatus.

The service, which commenced on March 26, now offers daily year-round flights from London Heathrow-Los Angeles.

The expansion forms part of Delta’s largest-ever summer transatlantic schedule, offering nearly 620 weekly flights to 11 U.S. airports from 32 European airports.

To celebrate, Los Angeles Tourism and Delta Air Lines hosted a lunch for tour operators at The Ivy Brasserie Soho in London on March 28.

New draws to the city include celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Hollywood Sign, recreating favourite video games the recently opened Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood and exploring Oscars’ history at the new Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.
