Crystal ups ski capacity to Norway

Crystal Ski Holidays has added further capacity into its Norway programme with the launch of a new charter flight from Manchester Airport for the 2024-25 season.

The TUI Airways flight will complement the existing London Gatwick to Oslo Gardermoen route and will depart every Sunday from December 15 2024 until February 2025.

The ski operator has also added the resort of Gausta to its portfolio, alongside those it already features: Norejfell, Geilo and Beitostølen.

Gausta is a good suggestion for families and beginners, with children under the age of seven eligible for free lift passes.

With lots of wide, quiet pistes and tree-lined runs as well as two snow parks, a dedicated children’s area and night skiing available, there’s plenty for families to enjoy on the slopes. Visitors can also reach Gaustatoppen’s peak at 1883m via the underground mountain railway or try a floating sauna.

Chris Logan, Managing Director at Crystal Ski Holidays, commented: “Our customers love Norway and we’ve seen increased demand thanks to the great product available and its winter wonderland feel.”

Trevor de Villiers, CEO of Norway Home of Skiing, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming more visitors from the UK to enjoy the ski resorts on offer in Norway, thanks to the additional flight from Crystal Ski Holidays.

“We’re excited that more British travellers will now be able to combine their ski trip with an ultimate bucket-list holiday experience, such as skiing under the Northern Lights.”

The holidays include a seven-night trip to Gausta, staying at the four-star Gaustablikk Apartments on a self-catering basis.

Prices start at £730pp, including return flights from Manchester Airport to Oslo Gardermoen, 20kg of hold luggage and transfers. Departure is on January 12 2025.
