AmaWaterways is offering complimentary return flights on select 2025 and 2026 Egypt river cruises and land journeys, as well as savings of up to £450pp. The offer runs from now until June 30, 2025 on its two Nile ships, AmaLilia and AmaDahlia.
Both ships sail the 11-night ‘Secrets of Egypt and the Nile’ itinerary, which combines a seven-night round-trip river cruise from Luxor and a luxury hotel stay in Cairo – three nights before the cruise and one night after – at the St. Regis Cairo when sailing on AmaLilia or The Ritz-Carlton Cairo when sailing on AmaDahlia.
Eat, drink and be merry with Hurtigruten
Hurtigruten will introduce a new culinary and drink-themed itinerary this September. The seven-day voyage includes three nights onboard the Original Coastal Express from Bergen to Stamsund, two nights at partner farms in Lofoten and Vesterålen, and one night at a distillery by Lyngen Fjord in northern Norway.
Priced from £7,071pp (full board), the small group voyages of eight to 20 guests will depart September 21, October 5 and 19, and November 2.
Douro delights on new Apt and Travelmarvel cruises
APT and Travelmarvel’s new ship MS Estrela will sail highlight itineraries throughout 2025. Packages include Travelmarvel’s seven-night ‘Douro Discovery’ cruise, starting and ending in Porto, from £2,295pp and APT’s nine-day ‘Douro Delights’ cruise, Madrid to Porto, priced from £2,845pp.
Both include return flights, accommodation, the services of tour and cruise directors, transfers, port charges, and gratuities.
Call of the wild for Azamara
Azamara Cruises will return to Alaska’s wilderness in summer 2026 with the debut of new Cruisetour packages. These pre- and post-cruise land journeys will allow guests to venture beyond the coastline and are paired with 10 Alaska voyages aboard the Azamara Pursuit.
The Cruisetours will feature scenic rail expeditions, cultural experiences, and close encounters with the region’s landscapes and wildlife.
A rosey new itinerary for Riviera
The MS Riviera Rose, a five-star ship recently commissioned by Riviera Travel, has completed its first sailing during an eight-day itinerary through the Douro Valley and on the Salamanca River.
The itinerary, now on sale, includes visits to Porto’s old town, Mateus Palace and Castelo Rodrigo as well as port and wine tastings, and an excursion to the historic town of Salamanca, Spain. Prices start at £2,199pp based on two people sharing.
The price includes full board with an all-inclusive drinks package, visits and excursions, return flights, transfers, English-speaking expert local guides, and guidance from a Riviera travel cruise director.
