Cruise update: Festive Cruise giveaway from AmaWaterways

Plus news from Havila, Princess, A&K & Crystal, Uniworld & Seabourn

AmaWaterways is giving away a festive cruise for one agent (plus guest) who books a Festive Delights, Christmas markets or New Year cruise.

Travel agents making a booking for any one of these itineraries will be automatically entered into a competition to win a festive cruise for themselves and a companion, departing in 2025 or 2026. The more they book, they more opportunities they have to win.

The competition applies to all bookings made up until September 30, 2025.

AmaWaterways’ new Festive Delights itineraries offer the perfect choice for guests who want to travel in November and December, enjoying a taste of Christmas onboard and onshore, but with less focus on the markets.

Guests can look forward to festive touches from tree decorating and carols to regional winter specialities, while also spending time in Europe’s most picturesque towns and cities.

The cruise line is also offering client savings on select 2025 and 2026 sailings in Europe, Asia, Europe and Colombia.

From money off to free flights, two-for-one land packages and single supplement savings, there are options across the programme for new bookings made by September 30, 2025.

Prices start from £1,714pp for the seven night ‘Captivating Rhine’ itinerary from Amsterdam to Basel onboard AmaLucia departing on February 5, 2026, including flights from London or Manchester and overseas transfers. This package includes savings of £1,900 per couple.

Havila plans growth spurt and zero emissions

Havila pri3 print 0086 2

Havila Voyages plans to grow its fleet and has outlined plans to operate a 12-day climate neutral voyage along the Norwegian coastal route this Autumn.

A partnership between HAV Group and Havila Voyages will ensure a coastal route fleet that will be at least climate neutral – with the ambition of achieving zero emissions. The possibility of sailing a round voyage on the coastal route climate neutrally, as early as this Autumn is also being explored.

Bent Martini, CEO of Havila Voyages said: “Right now, we are in the planning phase to test a full round voyage on the coastal route this fall, using biogas in combination with our large battery packs. We are in dialogue with suppliers to secure sufficient volumes to be able to fill the tanks 100% with biogas, and we believe we will succeed.

“That would mean that one of our ships could this Autumn prove that it is possible to sail over 5,000 nautical miles, the entire 12-day coastal route (Bergen – Kirkenes – Bergen), climate neutrally.”
