Cruise update: 2025 Princess season will spotlight glaciers

Princess Cruises will begin its 2025 season at the end of this month. New for 2025 is a 17-night roundtrip from Seattle, visiting 10 ports and three glaciers, including Hubbard Glacier, College Fjord, and Glacier Bay National Park, departing May 6.

An ‘Ultimate Alaska Solstice’ 22-night roundtrip from San Francisco will coincide with the Summer Solstice, with 11 ports and four glaciers, including Endicott Arm and Dawes Glacier, Hubbard Glacier, College Fjord, and Glacier Bay National Park, departing June 6.

AROYA breaks into Mediterranean waters

AROYA Cruises, the first Arabian cruise line, will begin its inaugural Mediterranean itineraries in summer 2025. Beginning on June 21, AROYA will sail to Bodrum, Marmaris, Kaş and Kuşadası, followed by additional stops in Athens, Mykonos and Crete later that month. In July, the itineraries expand to include Rhodes and İzmir, with Fethiye added in August.

One of the new itineraries will be dedicated entirely to Turkish coastal cities, while the remaining sailings will blend stops in both Turkey and Greece, with a particular emphasis on Bodrum and other ports along the Turkish Riviera.

Silolona offers chance to sail Komodo on private yacht

Silolona Sojourns has a three-night charter exploring the Komodo Archipelago on the Si Datu Bua vessel, usually only available for private charters.

Priced from £5,100pp for three nights from August 4-7, it includes all F&B, diving, scheduled activities and accommodation. Komodo is one of the 17,508 islands that comprise Indonesia. It is known as the home of the Komodo dragon.

Tauck‘s newly announced 2026 small ship ocean cruising plans include two new itineraries, ‘Sakura Seas: Japan and South Korea’ and ‘Arctic Days and Northern Lights’.

Holland American Line extends 2026 Europe season

Holland America Line has announced a six-week extension of its 2026 Europe season. The new sailings include a 14-day ‘Arctic Journey and Northern Lights with The HISTORY Channel’ cruise, departing on November 7, 2026 andpriced from £2,889pp.

Also open for booking is a 14-day ‘Mediterranean and Atlantic Treasures’ itinerary, departing November 21, 2026 and priced from £2,589pp.
