Cox & Kings puts Slovenia in its Spotlight

Cox &]Kings has added two Slovenia options to its new ‘European Spotlight’ programme.

The holidays ‘explore lesser-visited facets of well-known destinations’ and concentrate on ‘culturally immersive activities’.

Located between the Alps and the Adriatic, Slovenia’s highlights include a pristine landscape with alpine peaks, lakes, wineries and country cooking, historic cities, pretty coastal towns, deep forest and rich farmland.

The seven-day group tour, Spotlight on Slovenia, is centred on the capital, Ljubljana, and also takes visitors to Lake Bled and its island church; Piran, famous for its Venetian architecture; and the Postojna cave complex. Prices start from £1,505pp.

A second seven-night tour, the tailor-made Culinary Delights of Slovenia, concentrates on the country’s growing gastronomy scene. The private tour visits local vineyards and farms, and includes dinners at some of the country’s top restaurants. Prices start from £4,845pp.
