Bahamas launches agent reward programme

The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Investment and Aviation (BMOTIA) has launched a new reward programme for travel agents in the UK.

The programme, which is in partnership with My Booking Rewards, expands the incentive offer for licensed accommodations to more than 115 properties across Nassau and Paradise Island, Grand Bahama Island and the Out Islands.

Travel agents can earn up to £50 per actualised bookings that are logged at BahamasTravelAgentsRewards.com.

Standard rewards of £10 per booking will be credited for all qualifying bookings of a minimum of four nights on Grand Bahama Island or any of the Out Islands based on double occupancy. This programme is applicable to licensed properties within The Islands of The Bahamas.

Hon. I. Chester Cooper, Deputy Prime Minister of the Bahamas and Minister of Tourism, Investments & Aviation, said: “Our partnership with the travel agent community in the UK has been key to the steady growth of tourism from the UK to The Islands of The Bahamas.

“With the launch of the Bahamas Travel Agents Rewards Programme, we aim to deepen our relationship with UK travel professionals by making it easier and more rewarding for agents to close bookings to The Bahamas.”

Latia Duncombe, Director General of BMOTIA, added: “As a result of well-placed targeted marketing campaigns that have heightened The Bahamas’ visibility in the UK, consumer desire for travel to our islands is at an all-time high.

“Scheduled direct non-stop daily flights from the UK makes getting to our destination easy and hassle-free. The launch of this new travel agent rewards programme provides travel professionals with a larger base of hotel properties across The Bahamas to work with and greater incentives to book travel to our islands.”
