American Affair has a 10% sale on its full range of U.S. holidays for bookings made before July 31.

The trade-friendly operator’s programme includes driving itineraries that link the big eastern cities, the coastal roads of both New England and California, Oregon and Washington State and motorhome trips that take in major National Parks.

There are also cruise holidays, rail holidays and a combination of the two.

For example, the 14-day Best of New England holiday sees clients exploring the region from the comfort of their motorhome, a trip that takes in city highlights in Boston, spectacular countryside, small towns in Vermont, the coastline of Maine and the beaches of Cape Cod.

A popular option is the May-October period, with the fall foliage season of mid-September to mid-end of October offering an extra dimension as fabulous the autumn colours are at their peak. It is priced from £1,863pp.

The 13-day American Heritage by Rail option is a year-round itinerary that features a seat on Amtrak and four major cities. There are the museums and statues and monuments of Washington DC; Constitution Hall and the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia, where the U.S. Constitution was brought to life; spectacular views of Manhattan from the Empire State, the Edge or Summit One Vanderbilt buildings as well as a cruise on the Hudson River in New York; and the timeless colonial splendour, parks and gardens and big-city vibe of Boston.  The tour is priced from £2,691pp.

For those clients with more time on their hands, out west the Alaska Cruise and the Pacific U.S. is a 22-day option by cruise and car that combines some ‘must see’ sights with the ever-changing Pacific landscape.

The itinerary includes a cruise to Alaska’s renowned and celebrated scenery and a drive that takes in Washington, Oregon and California, featuring National Parks, coastal scenery and inland byways along the way. It is priced from £3,532pp.
