AmaWaterways launches monthly appreciation scheme

AmaWaterways has launched a monthly awards initiative designed to show its appreciation of agents “who go above and beyond in their dealings with clients, business partners and colleagues”.

The AMA Awards (AmaWaterways Monthly Appreciation Award) will be personally delivered and presented by the cruise line’s Business Development Manager.

At the end of the year, the monthly winners will be invited to join the AmaWaterways team for an AMA Awards VIP lunch and one agent “who best embodies AmaWaterways’ values” will be chosen to receive a complimentary seven-night European cruise for two people in recognition of their outstanding efforts.

AmaWaterways says that to be in the frame for picking up a monthly award, agents must share the company’s “core values of Passion, Positivity, Personal Interaction, Partnership and Pioneer Spirit”. 

“Central to our business is showing our appreciation and support for the wonderful work our travel partners do all year round,” said Andrea Stafford, Sales Director. “However, when an individual goes the extra mile, we want to be able to shine a spotlight on them and express our gratitude for their passion and hard work. We have so many fantastic agents offering their clients an exceptional level of service, so there will be a huge number of worthy candidates each month.”

AmaWaterways incentivises their travel partners throughout the year with FAM trips and a wide range of offers such as the popular ‘Sell Five, Sail Free’. The company also offers ongoing sales support with a dedicated travel agent portal, regular webinars and a range of co-branded marketing tools.

This year the cruise line will have 29 custom-designed ships sailing Europe’s Danube, Douro, Rhine, Moselle, Main, Rhône, Saône, Seine, Garonne and Dordogne Rivers, and Dutch and Belgian Waterways; Southeast Asia’s Mekong River; Africa’s Chobe River; and Egypt’s Nile River. Colombia’s Magdalena River will be introduced in 2025.
