AmaWaterways adds flights to package prices

AmaWaterways is now offering flight-inclusive river cruise packages in its standard pricing format.

Previously, flights were reserved through AmaWaterways as an optional add-on but now all prices are quoted with return airfares from London or Manchester and include overseas transfers between airport and ship.

Cruise-only options, regional departures and Business Class upgrades are available on request.

The luxury cruise line says including flights in the package quote is a move made in response to agent feedback and one that will offer maximum flexibility for guests.

“Our mission is to make it as convenient and efficient as possible for agents to reserve an AmaWaterways river cruise for their clients,” said Jamie Loizou, managing director, AmaWaterways UK.

“In the majority of cases, our guests want to book flights along with their river cruise, and with the new flight-inclusive pricing it is less time consuming for agents to book a package and they have a complete picture of their river cruise holiday price before confirming the booking…we do of course still offer cruise-only option for those who wish to incorporate our river cruises as part of a longer trip or who need more flexibility.”

As well as including flights for their wide range of European river cruises, AmaWaterways is also packaging flights with its long-haul journeys on the Mekong River in Asia, the Nile and Chobe rivers in Africa and the Magdalena River in Colombia.

Prices for flight-inclusive river cruise packages start from £1,975pp for the five-night ‘Majestic Capitals of the Danube’ from Vienna to Budapest, departing on December 16 2024 on AmaSonata, including flights from London or Manchester and overseas transfers.

The seven-night Best of Holland & Belgium cruise (Amsterdam to Amsterdam) on AmaCerto starts from £2,549pp, for the November 13 2024 departure, including flights from London or Manchester and overseas transfers.

AmaWaterways’ prices include all meals, wine, beer and soft drinks with lunch and dinner plus daily ‘Sip and Sail’ cocktail hour and a choice of up to eight excursions each day all conducted in small groups with knowledgeable guides.
