To celebrate Valentine’s Day, Swan Hellenic has debuted its new Love Aboard service. Couples can now say ‘I do’ on one of the cruise line’s expedition ships, surrounded by the icebergs and whales of Svalbard or among the wildlife of tropical Africa.
The new service is in response to the endless weddings trend, which sees nuptial celebrations continue for days after the religious or state ceremony. Often including family and friends in Mega Moons, Buddy Moons and Re-Do Moons for the renewal of vows, they generally involve travel to an attractive destination.
Love Aboard is offered in two packages for non-denominational commitment ceremonies aboard – Two Hearts at Sea and All Aboard for Love.
Two Hearts at Sea includes priority check-in, romantic themed treats for the couple, a spa treatment for each of the couple, beauty salon sessions for the couple on the big day, a bouquet and matching boutonniere, the non-denominational commitment ceremony conducted by the Captain, a keepsake ceremony certificate, professional photographs during and after the ceremony, a bottle of champagne and wedding cake for up to six people, a private Zodiac adventure for the couple, private dinner with the Captain, and a champagne breakfast in bed.
All Aboard for Love is for larger groups and includes all the above, in addition to a champagne reception with canapes in the Observation Lounge or outdoors, while the photography service includes a shore landing site (both weather permitting).
Both packages can be customised extensively, including detailed consultancy on which destinations to choose.
