Alberta and Edmonton have been named in two prestigious top travel lists compiled by Wanderlust and Lonely Planet.
Edmonton has been named by Lonely Planet as one of the Top Ten Cities to Watch in 2025. Alongside its fringe festival and Old Strathcona district, the city is opening the Ice District, the second largest sports and entertainment complex in North America.
Meanwhile, Alberta has been listed in this year’s Wanderlust’s Good To Go List which highlights the top 25 destinations for culture, innovation and community convergence in 2025. Only six months on from the Jasper wildfires which devastated over 30% of buildings and businesses, the town is up and running again, a testament to this province’s resilience and enduring appeal.
