A&K Sanctuary brings luxury to Utah

A new retreat will offer wellness, hiking, geology experiences, and cultural encounters

Abercrombie & Kent’s (A&K) new luxury retreat in Moab, Utah is set to open in 2027. Located at the gateway to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, the retreat will be designed for just 40 guests.

Guest accommodation will include one and two-bedroom standalone suites; a wellness offering, including a spa and spaces for reflection and restoration; and a central lodge offering panoramic canyon views.

With Utah’s iconic Red Rock canyons right on the doorstep, guests can explore private walking trails. A curated programme of experiences will offer hiking, biking and rafting as well as A&K’s expert-led touring which includes scenic drives, geological interpretation, cultural encounters and photography excursions.

After a brand refresh in December 2024, A&K Sanctuary is focussing on immersive, experience-led hospitality.

A&K’s existing portfolio, which includes 13 properties across Africa and four riverboats in Egypt, will soon be joined by new developments. Gorilla Forest Lodge in Uganda and Baines’ Camp in Botswana are both being rebuilt, due for completion in 2025. A new riverboat, Pure Amazon, will also launch on the Peruvian Amazon.

Kitirua Plains Lodge in Kenya’s Amboseli region will open in 2026 with other properties in development across Mexico, Australia and South America.
