Air India adds fifth route from Gatwick

Air India will start non-stop services between Bengaluru and London Gatwick on August 18.

It will operate the route fives time a week, taking the total number of flights to and from Gatwick to 17 a week.

Air India flies to four other Indian cities from Gatwick – Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Goa, and Kochi. 

The airline will use Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, featuring 18 flat beds in Business class and 238 seats in Economy. 

“We are delighted to offer our guests convenient, non-stop flights between Bengaluru and London Gatwick. This new route caters to the growing demand for travel between these two important business and leisure destinations, and strengthens our commitment to expanding our global network,” said Campbell Wilson, Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director, Air India.

Air India also operates 31 flights weekly to and from London Heathrow, and times a week to and from Birmingham.
