Air Canada trials Toronto motorcoach service

Ontario-bound clients can now take advantage of Air Canada’s new motorcoach service which connects the Hamilton and the Region of Waterloo airports to Toronto Pearson.
The initiative means agents can create a single itinerary when booking travel with Air Canada from Hamilton or the Waterloo Region through Toronto to any destination.

Landline motorcoaches, with Air Canada branding, connect with the airline’s flights, with six non-stop round-trips daily to Toronto Pearson.

Air Canada customers beginning their journey at Hamilton or Region of Waterloo airports check in as normal for their flight and obtain boarding passes for all segments of their trip.

At a designated departure point at the local airport, they board an Air Canada motorcoach and their checked baggage is loaded. Upon arrival at Toronto Pearson, customers proceed directly with their bags to the departure level.

In the event of coach or flight delays, motorcoach customers are automatically rebooked, as with customers travelling on air-only itineraries.

Members of Air Canada’s Aeroplan programme earn points for both ground and air segments, as on any normal connecting flight itinerary.

This integrated service is a trial initiative, with the potential to make it available elsewhere in Canada in the future.
