Agents first onboard for Rocky Mountaineer offers

Travel agents have been given a heads up on Rocky Mountaineer’s New Year promotions and have another week to benefit from discounts of up to £255 per couple before they are rolled out to consumers.

The luxury tourist train company, which offers three routes in Western Canada and one in the U.S., is now offering discounts via the trade only for new bookings on selected departures throughout 2023.

The consumer-facing marketing will not begin until January 30, with the promotions running via all channels until February 23.

A CA$300 per couple (approximately £190) or $150 per person discount applies on Rocky Mountaineer’s three Canadian routes.

These are: First Passage to the West, a two-day journey that connects Vancouver with Lake Louise and Banff; the two-day Journey through the Clouds between Vancouver and Jasper, passing by Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies; and the three-day Rainforest to Gold Rush, travelling between Whistler, the historic gold rush area of Quesnel, and Jasper.

Valid for bookings in both directions on all three routes, the discount applies on selected departures in Rocky Mountaineer’s GoldLeaf Service, which features bi-level glass-dome coaches with a seating area on the upper level and a lower-level dining area.

Steven Harris, Rocky Mountaineer’s Director of Sales – EMEA, commented: “2023 has started positively and our tour operator and travel agent partners have been an integral part of that. We are delighted to give them the first opportunity to take advantage of our January-February sales promotion as we target more success for the coming season.”

Since it was founded in 1990 Rocky Mountaineer has welcomed more than two million guests and become the largest privately-owned premium tourist train in the world.
