Advantage Travel Partnership hosts AMS Conference

Advantage Travel Partnership held its annual conference for members operating under its Advantage Managed Services (AMS) model.

The event, which was hosted by TUI, celebrated the 15th anniversary of the consortium’s AMS model. Over 50 delegates came together at the TUI Magic Life Fuerteventura resort.

Sessions focused on AMS business and technology strategies and a workshop on developing high-performance teams and the importance of establishing a business mission and vision.

There was also a panel discussion on growth opportunities through footprint expansion, homeworking and diversification into other travel-related sectors. Plus, delegates participated in speed dating sessions with sponsors and key Advantage internal teams.

Highlights included an immersive half-day excursion exploring the island and a ‘Travel is a Force for Good’ initiative, where delegates donated stationary to the local CEIP El Clervo Primary School. The entire event, including all delegate travel, was fully offset by Advantage.

There are currently 60 member companies operating under AMS. Over the past two years, Advantage has seen turnover growth in excess of 25% year on year.

Chief Operating Officer Paul Nunn said: “What differentiates our Managed Service proposition, aside from the additional benefits which being an Advantage member brings, is the fact that all customer monies are protected in a trust account with each branch having oversight of incoming funds into their own ring-fenced trust account, as well as having a dedicated contact within our operations team who acts as an extension of their business.

Chief Commercial Officer Kelly Cookes added: “As with all our conferences, we incorporated our ‘Travel is a Force for Good’ initiative. It was heartwarming to see our delegates enthusiastically bringing much-needed learning support materials to Fuerteventura for this school. The teachers and staff there were so appreciative.”
