ABTA to host 2024 Travel Convention in Greece

ABTA is set to host its flagship annual industry conference in Costa Navarino, Greece from 7-9 October 2024.

The host partner for this year’s event is the Greek National Tourism Organisation.

Costa Navarino, a growing development, has officially opened two of four planned phases.

The first, Navarino Dunes, hosted the Travel Convention in 2015 shortly after its launch.

Navarino Bay, which has two five-star resorts and a gold course, will welcome The Agora in April.  The centre will be a hub for shopping, bars, restaurants, arts and culture.

Mark Tanzer, Chief Executive of ABTA, said: “I am very pleased to reveal Costa Navarino as the host destination for our 2024 Travel Convention. We’re returning to Greece at a time when the country is developing its tourism offering to attract visitors all-year round.

“With UK holidaymakers increasingly looking to travel out of peak season, I’m excited to offer the opportunity for delegates to explore this destination, which has seen continued development since it hosted the Convention almost ten years ago.”

Eleni Skarveli, Director of the Greek National Tourism Organisation UK & Ireland, added: “We are absolutely delighted to be the host of ABTA’s esteemed 2024 Travel Convention, solidifying and deepening our exceptional partnership across all levels.

“We are particularly pleased that ABTA’s Convention will align with Greece’s philosophy of a shared commitment to environmental and social responsibility. We are confident that the environment of Costa Navarino will seamlessly harmonise to offer a unique and discerning experience to all participants.”

Suitable flights for attendees will be revealed in due course. Registration and programme details will be available at travelconvention.com in the coming weeks.
