Abercrombie & Kent to introduce new Nile product

Abercrombie & Kent is building a bespoke Nile riverboat, its fifth in Egypt, which will launch in late 2025.

Described as a ‘floating hotel’, the boat will feature two restaurants – indoor and outdoor – serving food made with locally sourced ingredients, along with a spa, a gym, social spaces, a swimming pool and a sundeck for relaxation between excursions.

The new boat promises to be A&K’s most immersive Nile cruise experience yet. With a hand-picked crew including renowned Egyptologists, the riverboat aims to feel like a private floating basecamp.

Each of its 32 cabins will have floor-to-ceiling windows and Juliet balconies above the water, marble bathrooms and 400-thread-count Egyptian cotton sheets; while two presidential suites will be unprecedented in size and luxury, each with an outdoor hot tub on their own private decks.

The new boat will also be available for private charters. A&K already operates four boutique river boats on the Nile: the Nile Adventurer, Sun Boat III, Sun Boat IV, and Zein Nile Chateau.

The travel company can arrange exclusive experiences from private after-hours access inside the Pyramids of Giza to intimate dinners inside ancient temples.

“Nobody knows Egypt better than Abercrombie & Kent,” said Cristina Levis, CEO of A&K Travel Group. “We pioneered luxury Nile cruises more than four decades ago, and every year we continue to further elevate this enchanting voyage, with extraordinary experiences at every stage of the journey, accompanied by Egyptologists and storytellers to bring Egypt’s luminous history to life.”

Furthermore, the long-awaited Grand Egyptian Museum is expected to open this year, finally, showcasing an extraordinary collection of Ancient Egyptian treasures.
