Specialist wildlife and soft adventure tour operator Windows On The Wild has launched a collection of new itineraries alongside the reveal of its newly refreshed website, marking the next chapter in the company’s portfolio of immersive, experience-led travel.
The new journeys invite travellers to explore some of the world’s most remarkable destinations, including heli-hiking in the Canadian Rockies – with trips of three to eight nights available.
The seven-day Hiking in the Rockies itinerary offers an adventurous way to explore the Canadian Rockies, using helicopter transfers to reach remote alpine terrain inaccessible by foot.
Guests are dropped off by helicopter, which takes them to otherwise unreachable ridgelines, glaciers and alpine meadows.
They enjoy expert-guided hikes through unspoilt wilderness, taking in dramatic mountain scenery, glaciers and wildflower fields while experiencing some of the region’s most untouched landscapes.
Guides share a wealth of knowledge about Canadian mountain flora, fauna, geology and history.
