A-Rosa introduces E-bikes on ships

A-ROSA has introduced its own fleet of complimentary e-bikes on A-ROSA SENA, including two bikes for teenagers.

E-bikes are now available across 12 ships, covering the Danube, Rhine, Main, Moselle, Seine and Rhone/Saone.

Part of A-ROSA’s Premium All-Inclusive package, the bikes can be used in selected ports to explore a city or town on two wheels as they wish. Helmets and bike lock are included in the hire.

Each e-bike is fitted with a compact electric motor, which can be adapted depending on the riders fitness level. It is also possible to switch the motor off altogether, for those who want a harder workout.

A-ROSA also continues to offer an extensive programme of guided bike tour excursions for those who prefer to be led by an expert, with over 50 different options available across the entire 2023 season.

Lucia Rowe, managing director at A-ROSA River Cruises UK & Ireland comments: “Having our own e-bikes on-board A-ROSA SENA is brilliant news and it’s great that we even have two for teenagers as this our flagship multi-generational vessel.

“As always with A-ROSA, flexibility is key, and guests now have a choice to join a guided excursion or take an e-bike out independently at dedicated times when organised group cycling tours are not taking place. The rivers of Europe are just made for exploring this way and of course, it is a more sustainable option which fits in perfectly with our continued focus on protecting the rivers and destinations we sail through.”
