To celebrate the release of the much-anticipated Barbie movie, we’ve hand-picked eight pretty-in-pink attractions for stylish clients with a soft spot for the iconic doll.
1. Sandals Royal Bahamian Spa Resort & Offshore Island, The Bahamas
Looking for a holiday in a real-life Barbie world? Located in The Bahamas, this all-inclusive adults-only resort is complete with pink accommodation, restaurants, drinks and décor. There’s even a rosy British telephone box.
Royal Bahamian’s newly refurbished Island Village has also been designed in pastel pink colours, offering an array of butler-level suites with private pools. Guests can explore the delectable restaurants for signature pink cocktails and conch fritters with salmon-pink dressing.
2. Trixie Motel, California, USA
We can easily imagine Barbie lounging by the pool in the Trixie Motel. Perfect for a weekend getaway, clients will be spoilt for choice with an array of decadent rooms, including the Pink Flamingo Suite and the Queen of Hearts Room. Founded by couple Brian Firkus (better known by his drag persona Trixie Mattel) and David Silver, this luxurious motel is situated in Palm Springs, California. Travellers simply must browse the limited-edition shop for apparel and accessories, too!
3. Hilton Bogota Corferias Barbie Suite, Colombia
Hilton Hotels recently launched a Barbie-themed suite in Bogota, Colombia. Available until July 2024, this nostalgic nest was designed to celebrate the ‘innovation, fantasy and fun’ that Barbie personifies. Inspired by the ‘90s, the 552-square-foot one-bedroom suite features empowering mantras throughout, including ‘Together We Shine’ and ‘Strong Girls Make Waves’. Clients can also indulge in several Barbie-themed experiences, such as a pinknic on the hotel’s terrace and fashion master classes.
4. Malibu Barbie Café, Chicago and New York, USA
Calling all California lovers! The Malibu Barbie Café is sure to transport guests back to ‘70s Malibu. With sites in both Chicago and New York, this fun café is adorned with a colour-popping Barbie palette, laid-back beach motifs and retro accents. Clients can enjoy a delicious Barbie-inspired menu by Master Chef Finalist Becky Brown, featuring Pacific Paradise Pancakes, West Coast Wedge Salad and a California Dreamin’ Club Sandwich. There’s also a full-size Barbie doll box, an exclusive gift shop and a roller-skating rink.
5. The Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur Hotel, Malaysia
If you ask us, it’s time to book the first-of-its-kind Barbie Ultimate Staycation at Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur Hotel. Clients will discover an entire floor of 14 themed rooms, comprising the Barbie Room and the Barbie Suite. Each room is bedecked in the doll’s favourite pink palette and features artwork celebrating Barbie’s careers. There are Barbie-themed amenities, cushions, motifs and slogans. Guests can even dine at the Barbie Café!
6. World of Barbie Tour, California, USA
The World of Barbie Tour is a Barbie-enthusiast’s dream! This interactive exhibit in Santa Monica Place features the Barbie Dreamhouse and a movie theatre filled with Barbie content, as well as a Sound Studio and Science Lab. There’s even Paul Mitchell stylists on site for guests who want to get their own Barbie-inspired haircut. Plus, there’s a ‘Barbie Build It Customisable Doll Closet’ for those who want to unleash their inner designer. Tickets are available until September 2023.
7. P&O Cruises, Arvia and Iona
P&O Cruises has partnered up with retail group Harding+ to launch a host of dedicated family zones on its ships this summer. The Arvia and Iona ships will offer a range of toys and activities, sporting brands such as Barbie and Hot Wheels. Fans of the pretty-in-pink doll can also find a life-size Barbie box in their retail spaces. Clients will love creating ‘Instagrammable’ moments as they strike poses fit for Barbieland.
8. Mattel Adventure Park, Arizona, USA
Barbie fans everywhere will be waiting in anticipation for the Mattel Adventure Park’s arrival next year. The Arizona attraction will allow guests to get behind the wheel of the beloved doll’s signature Hot Wheels convertible on the go-kart track and sip a pink beverage on the rooftop of the Barbie Beach House. Rollercoasters are designed to appeal to both adults and kids alike. With admission costs and opening dates yet to be released, it’s definitely an occasion to look forward to!

Montréal Barbie Expo, Québec, Canada
If there’s one attraction that every Barbie-fan should visit at least once in their life, it’s the largest permanent exhibition of Barbie dolls in the world. Travellers can marvel at an impressive collection of over 1,000 dolls, including Hollywood stars, unique Barbies and glamorous outfits created by Christian Dior, Versace, and Givenchy. Although it is temporarily closed, we’re confident this spectacular show will come back bigger and better than ever!
