After seeing its Active travel style grow 16% in 2024, the new trips will take travellers to lesser-explored regions in destinations including Japan, South Africa, Pakistan, the Balkans, Morocco, the Galapagos and Peru.
Eight new trips in Japan and three in Morocco join two new journeys in Pakistan, a brand new destination for G Adventures. Divided into physical grading categories, including three (average), four (demanding) and five (challenging), there are options for travellers with varying levels of fitness.

Active Japan: North to South Adventure: From hiking in Hokkaido’s national parks, to snorkelling in Okinawa, to paddling through Iriomote’s mangroves and cycling on Taketomi Island, plus a visit to Ainu Kotan village, home to one of two indigenous groups that now remain in Japan. Active South Africa: Cape Town, Kruger & Tugela Falls: Spent time in a mountain lodge owned by the local Batlokoa (Sotho) community, hike to the Tugela Falls, the second-highest waterfall in the world, and experience safari with a difference, sleeping beneath the stars in the savannah in an eco-friendly tented camp in the Prideslands Conservancy in Kruger National Park. Pakistan: Hike the Karakoram Mountains: Combining challenging treks with peaceful, life-affirming moments, the focus is on the Thallay La Trail, which, for centuries, served as the only link between the ancient kingdoms of Khaplu and Shigar in the Baltistan mountains.
